A recent blog post by The New York Times got me thinking about how intimidating it can be to choose a college major. Some future college students may be under pressure from family members to obtain a specific degree, and for others the pressure comes from the thought of being “stuck” in accounting forever if they get an accounting degree. When it comes down to it, you have the overall choice of what to study in college!
Don’t hold back on earning a degree just because you’re afraid of changing your mind later on - plenty of people have careers that don’t correlate with what they studied in college. What truly matters to employers is that you have a degree and relative work/internship experience.
