Northeastern University, founded in 1898, is a private, not-for-profit research university located in Boston, Massachusetts.  The university offers approximately sixty-five majors on the undergraduate level, with graduate programs at the master and doctoral levels.  Northeastern also offers professional degrees.  Northeastern has a robust study abroad program and has also been the recipient of several awards, including the 2010 Northeast Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition.  Throughout the course of Northeastern’s long history, there have only been seven university presidents.
